An informal tunnel created from

10' rods of Salix Viminalis 'Bowles Hybrid'. 'Planted' (unrooted) in January and showing first growth in April

LEFT : A shot from within the tunnel in June of the following year with new growth well under way and with a generally denser structure as a result of some of  the first years growth having been woven in.

New growth in May of the third year

A more formally

shaped tunnel than the first one. Also 'planted' in a January and photographed in May.

Even the dappled

shade provided by new growth in early spring is

appreciated !
